CADAQUES
Cadaqués is a small village located on the coast, at the heart of the Creus Cape peninsula. Cadaqués is indeed one of the best preserved and accomplished examples of traditional Mediterranean architecture, as well as one of the few towns that has succeeded in preserving the everlasting charm of a small fishermen's village that has captivated quite a number of intellectual celebrities in the past ie. Salvador Dalí, Luis Bruñel, André Bretón, Man Ray and Paul Eluard.

The Costa Brava and the city of Girona is spread along 200 Km of beaches, creeks and rocky cliffs, from the town of Blanes to Port-Bou. It is without a doubt one of the most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes in Spain. On the other hand, the city of Girona provides visitors with the advantages of a modern city that also possesses a wide architectural and cultural offering based on the city's millenary history. In addition, Girona is the starting point towards a great number of beautiful destinations that are worth visiting. Do come and visit them!
THE ROUTE OF ROMANESQUE ART
Romanesque art has left its indelible print in Girona between the 10th and 13th centuries. Architectural masterpieces have managed to survive to modern days and are visable in every corner of the Girona province. Some of the most outstanding examples of Romanesque art are the monasteries of San Pere de Roda, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and the churches Santa Maria de Porqueres (in Banyolas) and Santa Maria de Vilabertran, which is set in the region of Alt Empordà. The sights mentioned above have no established timetable for visitors to run by therefore, it is advised, that visitors establish their own programme.
THE REMAINS OF EMPÚRIES
The monumental group of Empúries, set in the town of L´Escala, is one of the most outstanding Greco-Roman settlements in Spain. In Empúries there are architectural remains dating as far black as the 5th century BC through to the 3rd century AD. We recommend visiting the monographic museum located in the enclosure. Visiting hours: Open daily from June 1st to September 30th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
PARC DELS AIGUAMOLLS
The Nature Park "Els Aiguamolls de l´Empordà" is located at the north of the Costa Brava, between the towns of Sant Pere Pecador, Empuriabrava and Castelló d´Empúries . "Els Aiguamolls de l´Empordà" is a damp space in which it is possible for visitors to watch and study over 300 species of birds and a wide variety of autochthonous local flora. Visiting hours Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
THE DALI TRIANGLE
The life and work of the painter Salvador Dalí is summarised in three different places: The Theatre and Museum, located in Figueres, where works such as "La Galarina" or "La Leda Atómica" are displayed: Dalís home and study in Port Lligat, Cadaqués, which has been turned into a Museum; and the Castle of Púbol, set in the village of La Pera, where the masters wife and muse, Gala, is buried. Each of these three museums has their own opening hours, which change depending on the month and season of the year.

THE MEDES ISLANDS
The small archipelago of the Medes Islands consists of seven small rocky islands and is situated in the centre of the Costa Brava. Its ecosystem is highly varied and displays much of the local flora and fauna. The seabed around the archipelago is really spectacular. This is a real treat for the lovers of scuba diving.
THE CREEKS OF BEGUR, PALAFRUGELL AND THE LIGHTHOUSE OF SANT SEBASTIA
Creeks are the most emblematic symbol of the Costa Brava. The towns of Bagur, and its creeks of Sa Riera, Aiguafreda and Sa Tuna; Palafrugell and its estuaries of Tamariu, Llafranc and Calella are definitely the best examples of these coast towns in which the sea and the mountain merge and blend in a close embrace. Visiting the lighthouse of Sant Sebastià is a must, as it is possible to admire from this vantagepoint, the immense beauty of the Costa Brava.
