Shopping - up-market

Shopping in Barcelona is a pleasure. Distances are short, there are plenty of cafes when you need a rest, and prices are generally competitive, especially if your stay coincides with summer or winter sales.
Portaferrisa

Portaferrisa runs between the Ramblas and the Cathedral. It is closed to traffic and full of shoppers - another main shopping line.
El Born - our number one neighbourhood

Starting with Custo in La Plaça de les Olles, you'll find numerous designer clothes and shoe shops in this area, and more opening every week. The area is small, so work your way through the streets. Don't miss Calle Flassanders, which also has some great shops.
Shopping - cool fashion guide (Calle Avinyó)

Paseo de Gracia and Rambla Catalunya cover the upmarket fashion with everything from Armani to Zegna. For something less upmarket aiming at a younger public, check out some of the stores listed here in Calle Avinyó:
Window shopping - judging by the cover

Barcelona Turisme recently awarded prizes to 10 outlets in the city for having the most interesting window displays. If this sounds like your thing, take a look at some of the winners.
