Cinemas in Barcelona (in English and other languages)

There are several cinemas in Barcelona showing films in their original language with sub-titles in Spanish. Tickets on Monday night are offered at a discount. Ticket prices are around €5.50 at regular session. Consult newspaper for current listings and session times.

Football at the Barca stadium

Futbol Club Barcelona is world famous. It's stadium seats almost 100,000 fans - and the club has 100,000+ members. Finding tickets to games can be difficult, but you can always visit the museum, along with 1,000,000 others every year. See Other Museums
Festival de Gracia - August

For 15 days in the middle of August, the streets of Gracia are decorated and many are turned into venues for dinner and dancing in the evening, and into the night
La Merce - the city's annual festival (September)

La Merce - 24 September is a public holiday in Barcelona and the festival activities last for several days around this date (Friday in 2004).
Sant Jordi - 23 April --time to give a rose and a book

Sant Jordi is a special day throughout Catalonia and particularly in Barcelona. The streets are lined with booksellers and flower sellers, as tradition runs deep and everyone is happy.
