At the local level there are a number of business clubs and organisations. Most professional groups have an association – lawyers, doctors, engineers, accountants and so on. At another level there are clubs like el Circulo Ecuestre, which organise events for their members. This is the old school club, offering access to members of a network of similar clubs around the world. There are many associations linked to the arts, music and culture.
Soho House is a members-only club, but also a hotel, with a roof-top bar overlooking the harbour.
Juno House Club is a women’s only club, or a playground for modern women. Located on Carrer Aribau, just above the intersection with C. Diagonal, the club offers business, wellness and motherhood services for the modern woman looking to grow her career & streamline her day in a chic and elegant setting.

Jazz clubs and nightlife
At some point, you just want to relax. Not everything should be about work or making contacts. The city offers old and new venues. Jamboree Jazz in La Plaça Reial is a good place to start for jazz. A basement club with live performances – they have been offering live music for almost 60 years. Harlem jazz club is also a great venue in the old part of town.
More upmarket is Cafe Vienés in Hotel Casa Fuster, which hosts jazz musicians on a Thursday night. It was chosen by Woody Allen for shooting one of the scenes in Vicky Cristina Barcelona,
