Your local law firm may have an established relationship with a firm in Spain. If not, there are some big name firms like Cuatrecasas or Bufete RocaJunyent or international firms like Baker and McKenzie. Alternatively, you can find a good “Gestoria” or Accounting Firm and they can advise you on both legal and financial matters.

Co-working office spaces are a low-risk way of getting an office space. There will always be time to establish a more permanent presence if that is necessary.

There are many graduates coming out of the local Universities each year and a steady flow of Europeans coming to Barcelona to work. Attracting talent shouldn’t be a problem. Retaining talent may be more difficult, depending on your project and what you can offer.

Get support on managing payroll, finances and tax obligations. There are many gestorias that will provide this service remotely, which may help at the outset. You need to manage this at a high level in-house and depending on the operations, it may make sense to have an in-house team for this.
