The 1992 Olympic Games put Barcelona on the travel map, but it’s the combination of art, architecture, history, culture, and a Mediterranean lifestyle that keeps drawing the crowds. Increasingly the city is attracting professionals with opportunities in start-ups, co-working offices for remote workers, and international companies setting up offices.
Maybe you are thinking of taking a sabbatical, planning a long stay, or just want to check out some of the options, we hope to make things easier. There is no plain sailing when you move to a foreign country, but the right information can make it easier.
What are the biggest challenges when you land in a new town? There are many in Barcelona: learning the language; meeting people; finding a good place to live; meeting people who are from Barcelona; finding work opportunities; getting your papers in order: and keeping your papers in order. So let’s try to ease the pressure, and help build a healthy cosmopolitan city where people from different cultures can thrive together.
