Wine workshops
There are a number of people running wine tastings and wine workshops in Barcelona.
A good place to start is with the bodegas, or wine shops. Vila Vinateca is an established wineshop in el Born that regularly run wine tastings. Another good option is Mon Vinic in C. Diputación, just near Rambla Catalunya. There is even a hotel that is a Vinoteca – or as they say, a hotel with a taste of wine.
Wine tours and tastings
It’s well worth making a trip to the Penedes region or further south to the Priorat region and visiting some of the vineyards. Some vineyards are well set up to receive visitors, but for others you will need to plan ahead, or go with a guide who will book in a tour.
